GRAND RIDGE, Ill. (AP) — Fire officials say three workers have been hospitalized in critical condition and two others in serious condition after being electrocuted while working on a central Illinois home.

Officials say the five workers were erecting an aluminum gutter Tuesday when it came into contact with a power line in Grand Ridge, about 75 miles southwest of Chicago.

Officials tell WLS-TV the workers from a company based in Roanoke, Illinois, were all on aluminum ladders and touching portions of the house when the gutter became electrified, sending them tumbling 25 feet from the ladders to the ground.
