A streetlight came crashing down on an SUV Friday night in the Streeterville neighborhood.
The light pole, badly rusted at the base, came down on the SUV at Columbus and Grand. The passenger Bailey Ippolito told CBS 2 she didn't know at first what happened.
"Oh my god, like, oh my god, and then I look out of the corner of my eye to see this thing like moving," Ippolito said.
This has been a problem for years as light poles age. The city has been replacing them.
"Work on it faster. I mean, it's negligent at this point. That's a very big hazard," Ippolito said.
Nobody was hurt in this incident - just property damage.
