On Friday about 2 p.m., Hobart Police say they released an alert describing a car allegedly involved in the theft of multiple items from a retail area.
When a Lake County Sheriff's Deputy saw the car in Gary and tried to stop it, the driver refused and led law enforcement on a high speed chase from Northwest Indiana that ended near Chicago's Chinatown neighborhood.
Police say three adults were arrested, and all of them had active warrants out of Illinois.
