CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The Chicago Park District told WBBM Newsradio that an Amazon delivery locker in a park on the city's North Side has been removed.
The delivery lockers were in Brands Park on the 3500 block of North Elston Avenue and drew complaints from residents.
Ald. Rossana Rodríguez of the 33rd Ward went on Facebook to say her office was recently made aware of the lockers which she said were "clearly obstructing a public walkway."
Rodríguez's office said it then contacted officials who said the hub was improperly installed.
The alderwoman also said she was looking into the contractual relationship between Amazon and the Chicago Parks District because she does not believe this to be a proper use of public property.
