Argument escalates into attack, 3 people injured in River North

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — An argument turned into a violent attack in downtown Chicago early this morning, leaving three people injured.

A group got into a verbal argument with a 40-year-old man just before 4 a.m. near Hubbard and Clark Streets in River North.

Chicago Police say it turned physical and the man started to attack the victims.

A 32-year-old man had a cut to his face, a 29-year-old man had a swollen right eye and a 28-year-old woman had a cut on her upper lip.

All three were treated and released from the hospital.

The 40-year-old suspect was taken into custody.

The incident is still under investigation.
