Argument leads to 4 shot on West Side: CPD

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Four people on the West Side were shot overnight following an argument between two groups on the street.

Chicago police said the incident occurred shortly after 1:30 a.m.  in West Garfield Park, on Gladys near Kilpatrick, when someone from one group fired shots into the direction of the other group.

Four young people were hit, three of whom were transported to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition.. A 19-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound to the right buttocks.  A 20-year-old man was shot in the left arm and groin. An 18-year-old man had a gunshot wound to the right shin.

The fourth victim, an 18-year-old man, refused medical attention at the scene after suffering a graze wound to the left shoulder.

No one is in custody.

Area Four detectives are investigating.
