CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago police are looking for robbers who held up at least three businesses in different areas of the city Tuesday night.

The first happened near 47th and Hermitage in Back of the Yards, on the Southwest Side, at about 9:50 p.m. Chicago police said three young men or boys held up a business, taking cash from the register and items from an employee.

About 20 minutes later, three armed robbers hit Trebol Liquors and Bar near 18th and May in Pilsen. Police said they took items from an employee and four customers, pistol whipping the worker before leaving.

The victim refused medical treatment.

A robbery at about 10:20 p.m. near Armitage and Damen in Bucktown saw a similar scene play out, but no one was injured.

It’s not clear if the same people are responsible, but police said in all three cases a light-colored sedan was the getaway car.
