(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A Cicero man has been arrested in connection to the murder of a man shot inside his West Side home on Thanksgiving.
Chicago police say 29-year-old Gad Hughes was arrested Friday after allegedly shooting a 62-year-old man in the head and killing him Thursday afternoon.
According to police, the victim was inside his apartment near Pulaski Road and Monroe Street in Garfield Park around 3:20 p.m. when Hughes started shooting at him through a window.
The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition where he later died.
Police say Hughes is facing one felony count of first degree murder and a felony charge for possessing heroin.
