CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A suspect in Saturday night’s shooting at Safari Land indoor amusement park in Villa Park was apprehended in Chicago early Sunday morning.
Villa Park Police announced on social media that with the assistance of Chicago Police a suspect has been taken into custody at a residence in Chicago.
The shooting incident is still currently under investigation, but what we do know from police is that one victim was shot three times, currently being treated at a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
CBS 2 Chicago spoke to one witness who works nearby the Safari Land indoor amusement park.
Maria Plancarte described the mood after shooting, saying she saw police knocking on doors looking for the shooting suspect and that everyone in the area was scared and didn’t know what to do.
Villa Park police did add that this appears to be an isolated incident.
