Multiple vehicles damaged in suspected arson at East Side auto shop: police

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Multiple vehicles were damaged early Tuesday morning in a suspected arson attack at an auto body shop in the East Side neighborhood.

Chicago police believe someone intentionally started the fire.

According to Chicago police, someone used “an incendiary device” to damage six to eight vehicles in the parking lot of a shop in the 9900 block of South Avenue L just after 3 a.m.

No one was injured and no one is in custody, CBS Chicago reported.

An arson unit is investigating the incident.
