Aurora is going ahead with trick-or-treating this year.
But in the interest of keeping things safe, Mayor Richard Irvin issued guidelines Friday that emphasize social distancing and sanitation.
Irvin asked that people handing out candy do it on sanitized tables and to consider individual bags of candy. He said they should mark off walkways with tape, to keep people 6 feet apart.
Participants should wear masks or face coverings, and he doesn’t mean monster masks.
Halloween hours will be 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Irvin also said the city will do a drive-through trick-or-treating event on Halloween.
He asked that parents go with their kids to be sure everyone is following the guidelines.
