An Aurora man is charged in connection with the Willowbrook Juneteenth shooting.
Anthony Mothershed, 19, was charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm and one count of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on Friday.
Police said a shooting in a strip mall parking lot near Kingery Highway and Honeysuckle Rose Lane left one person dead and 22 others injured on June 18. A crowd of several 100 people had gathered to celebrate Juneteenth when gunfire rang out. Mothershed was with a group of people outside a beauty supply store when he began shooting a little after midnight at others in the crowd.
He allegedly fled the scene and was arrested Wednesday.
