(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A bakery in far northwest suburban Lake in the Hills that has been the target of harassment and threats could be closing its doors in a couple of weeks.
Uprising Bakery & Café is likely closing for good at the end of the month, owner Corinna Sac told WBBM Newsradio on Friday.
The bakery was the subject of harassment, threats and vandalism last year when it announced plans to host a family-friendly drag show. Since then, the business continued to be besieged by rumors and ill will, Sac said.
Barring a “miracle,” she said – or a $30,000 cash infusion – the last baked goods will sold March 31.
