When credit card statements begin to arrive, phishing scams disguised as emails or texts from major retailers often follow.
These messages claim you have points to redeem for free items or cash rewards, but they’re actually malicious scams designed to steal money, capture personal information, and even install malware.
Here are some tips if you think someone is trying to scam you.
Always review the sender’s email address, avoid clicking suspicious links or calling unfamiliar numbers, and remember: “When in doubt, check it out.” Contacting the business directly to confirm the offer can help keep you and your family safe.
