All that glitters is not gold.
Scammers pretending to be someone from a bank, or even the Treasury Department, are telling people their bank accounts may have been compromised.
Then they strongly recommend pulling all your money from your accounts before they get hacked, and get this, replacing it with gold until the problem is resolved.
Shortly thereafter, other fraudsters follow up, claiming they've been asked to help you store your gold with them, and then tell you to hand all of it to a courier who will come to your home to pick it up.
Spoiler alert: This is a scam, and the BBB recommends you never make a transaction without a direct, verified connection to your bank.
