(WBBM NEWSRADIO)— Chicago Bears players will see something at Soldier Field this season they haven't seen in more than a year: a full house.

Team president and Chief Executive Officer Ted Phillips confirmed to season ticket holders Wednesday that the stadium will operate at 100% capacity, now that city and state officials have lifted coronavirus restrictions.

“Your patience and loyalty over the past 15 months is appreciated,” Phillips said.

Fans who have been fully vaccinated will not be required to wear masks, while non-vaccinated people will be encouraged to mask up. Phillips said fans can expect a “touchless entry” process that will not require them to remove keys and phones as they enter.

Fans will be allowed at training camp, which has moved to Halas Hall in Lake Forest, which begins in late July. The  Bears also plan a Family Fest event at Soldier Field Aug. 3, Phillips said.
