(WBBM NEWSRADIO )— A NFL analyst said the changes at the top of the Bears organization won't impact the bottom line of the franchise.

Mike Florio, founder of profootballtalk.com, told the Noon Business Hour Monday that the Bears will continue to make money regardless of whether the new coach and GM are successful in turning the Bears into a contender. Matt Nagy and Ryan Pace were sent packing early today.

"Let's take a look at the balance sheet. These teams are going to make money even if they try not to. There's a disconnect between on-field success and financial success," Florio said.

He added the Bears stand to make even more money as legalized gambling becomes a larger part of the game-day experience.

Florio said win or lose, the Bears can count on a packed house.

"The stadium is going to be full regardless of whether they are a perennial playoff team or if they are competing with the (Detroit) Lions for the basement of the division," Florio said.

A new coach and general manager are coming into the Bears franchise at a pivotal time. The team is laying plans to build a stadium in Arlington Heights, and the halo effect from a good team can help in winning concessions from local politicians.
