BENSENVILLE, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Bensenville officials are reassuring residents after a contractor suddenly shut down operations on a Senior Center.
Officials say on May 31 that they received a notice that the contractor responsible for developing the village's new Senior Center abruptly shut down operations overnight.
Director of Public Works Joseph M. Caracci said the news came as a "complete shock" and that he's "incredibly disappointed."
He also assures residents that the Senior Center will be developed as planned, without affecting taxpayer funds, though with a few delays.
Caracci didn't list a reason for the contractor's sudden shut down.
