CICERO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A man has died after being hit by a CTA train in west suburban Cicero Wednesday night.
The cyclist was riding near 50th Avenue and 21st Place in Cicero when he was hit by a Pink Line train at about 6:15 p.m. That’s according to a town spokesman Ray Hanania.
Hanania told WBBM the man did not have identification on him
This happened in a residential area where the train tracks are at street level for the crossing, and there are gates.
The CTA used shuttle buses to get passengers from 54th/Cermak and the Central Park stops while train service was halted for almost three hours during the investigation.
