(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A unique movie-going experience has opened in the western suburbs.
Emagine Entertainment Inc. on Tuesday opened a “Super EMX” auditorium at the Emagine Batavia movie complex. At 96 feet wide by 53 feet tall, the auditorium’s viewing surface is billed as the largest movie screen in Illinois.
The 414-seat auditorium includes the latest technology, including a 4K laser-projected image. The facility kicks off with summer tent pole feature film “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.”
The Batavia cinema was previously an IMAX auditorium. It has multiple screens.
