(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Bluey is coming to Chicago, “for real life.”
Families that are fans of the Australian animated children’s show “Bluey” will be able to experience it in a new way at CAMP Chicago.
Behind the magic door, is an immersive Bluey experience that takes kids through the Heeler family home. The hour-long session is based around a game of hide-and-seek.
“So we kind of get prepped in the beginning, in the intro of the show, with a game of hide-and-seek that Bluey and Bingo want to play with their parents,” said Amanda Raposo, chief experience officer at CAMP.
“And it is our job to help Mum and Dad find Bluey and Bingo in the Heeler home.”

Once inside, kids will be able to experience many of the games and activities seen in the show.
“Part of the job is to kind of play all of their favorite games, from all of our favorite episodes, to see if we can get them out from hiding,” Raposo said.
Games like "keepie uppie" and "grannies" are guided by cast members in various rooms of the life-sized Heeler house. There are also guest appearances from characters like Unicorse.

While the experience is well suited for all-ages, it is a great play set-up for children ages 2-8 years old.
“There is something in there for everyone. You can appreciate the set and the detail; you can appreciate the game play, the slides,” Raposo said.
Tickets for the experience are on sale now on the CAMP website through the end of the summer. Tickets range from $39-50 depending on peak hours.
