(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A boat crash off the Fox River in McHenry killed one person and sent another to the hospital Saturday night.
Investigators believe the boat was going at a high rate of speed when it crashed onto the shore and nearly hit a home on Country Club Drive.
A witness tells CBS2 he saw a woman underneath the boat and a man on the other side of it.
“There's a ramp of mud going right into the yard,” he said.
One victim was airlifted to the hospital while another was pronounced dead at the scene. The Illinois Department of Natural Resources and McHenry County Sheriff's Department are investigating.
