(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A 9-month-old bobcat that escaped from a northern Indiana zoo Wednesday morning has been found.

Around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Michigan City, Indiana, shared an update that the missing bobcat, named Grace, had been captured.

She was found near the Guy Foreman Amphitheater in Washington Park and was “peacefully captured,” a Facebook post said.

Grace is now back at the Washington Park Zoo and is reportedly safe.

Grace and her sister Hazel, have called the zoo home since December. The zoo does not know how Grace escaped.

Bobcats, like coyotes and foxes, are native to the area. Grace did not pose any threat to humans or most animals.
