(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – A suspect in a fatal shooting who was the focus of a manhunt in Bolingbrook is now in custody, police said.
Authorities had been searching for the suspect in an area of Bolingbrook near Boughton Road and Route 53, and residents were advised to shelter in place.
The manhunt followed a shooting at a residence in the 300 block of Walnut Circle. Around 2 p.m. Monday, police found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound – the result of an apparent family argument, authorities said.
The victim -- Devon D. Davis, 33 -- died at the hospital, police said.
The offender fled on foot and was taken into custody around 4 p.m. Shelter-in-place orders have been lifted, Bolingbrook police said.
