
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A shooting at a North Side park this afternoon left a 15-year-old boy wounded.
Chicago Police said the incident occurred just before 2:20 p.m. at Hamlin Park, near Hoyne and Wellington, in the Roscoe Village neighborhood.
The teenage boy was confronted by two armed suspects, police said. They took out their guns and at least one of them began shooting at the 15-year-old.
The victim was hit in the back and was transported to Lurie’s Children Hospital in serious condition.
Hamlin Park is located less than a block from Alcott College Prep High School.
No one is in custody.
