CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago police are investigating the shooting death of a toddler Tuesday night on the Far South Side.
A woman inside the home near 119th and LaSalle in West Pullman told officers she heard a loud noise and found the boy with a gunshot wound to the face at about 8:15 p.m. Paramedics took the child to Comer Children’s Hospital where he died.
Police found the gun and took the 32-year-old woman to the police station to discuss the shooting, which appears to be accidental.
The Medical Examiner has identified the child as 2-year-old Jamal Robindson.
