Chicago blues legend Buddy Guy is throwing one of the biggest birthday parties of the year.
Guy will celebrate his 90th birthday with a concert on Oct. 1 at Radio City Music Hall in New York. The lineup includes Eric Clapton, John Mayer, Jon Batiste, Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks, along with blues-rock heavyweights Gary Clark Jr. and Robert Cray.
Guy said he wants the night to honor the friends and mentors who shaped his career, as well as the next generation of musicians coming up behind him. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. Eastern.
Guy, who made a cameo appearance in the Oscar-winning film "Sinners" last year, is also taking his talents on an international tour.
The tour kicks off July 15 in Toronto.
