CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Some of the best professional bull riders in the world will compete Friday and Saturday nights at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont.

It's called "Unleash the Beast." The beasts are bulls that weigh from about 1,500- 2,000 pounds.

Riders including Keyshawn Whitehorse will compete to see who can stay on the giant bucking bulls the longest. He said bull riding is both a sport and an artform.

In addition to bull riding, the event features pyrotechnics shows and music.

The top finishers will be one step closer to competing in the world bull riding championship this May in Fort Worth, Texas, where the grand prize is one million dollars.
