CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Bulls guard and Chicago native Ayo Dosunmu is providing incentive for students at his former elementary school to shoot for high grades.
This season Dosunmu will award free Bulls tickets to students at Beasley Academic Center who make the honor roll.
Dosunmu made the announcement last week when he returned to his South Side alma mater last week to launch his Ayo’s Scholars program.
"I want to impact the community in a positive way, give them a great incentive. Kids who normally get Cs or they're borderline honor roll, it may give them an extra push to help them make the honor roll, and I think that's what it's all about," Dosunmu said in an interview with Bulls Community.
The third-year guard who this offseason signed a new three-year, $21 million contract attended the Washington Park's CPS school from third through eighth grade.
