CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Chicago police issued a warning to the public after a wave of crash-and-grab burglaries hit several of the city's neighborhoods.
Since Aug. 2, Chicago police say 20 break-ins have been reported in South Chicago, Calumet Heights, Gresham and Morgan Park.
They all happened between 2 – 6 a.m., and each case involved four to eight suspects who used stolen cars to smash into businesses and steal registers, ATMs and tobacco products.
Suspects were all dressed in dark clothing, including hoodies and masks.
So far, no arrests have been made.
