CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicago police are investigating another attempted "crash and grab" burglary Tuesday morning at a high-end store in Wicker Park.
Investigators say someone used an SUV to try to crash into the Round Two shoe and clothing store on Milwaukee Avenue near North Avenue around 4:30 a.m.
Surveillance video shows the offenders leaving without taking anything, because they were unable to break into the store. Police said there has been a string of similar crash and grabs.
Several people in a stolen SUV crash their way into stores selling high- end shoes and clothing, take what they can, and then get away in several waiting vehicles.
