(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Like Chicago's weather this week, business is hot at local bike-repair shops.
It was everything but quiet at Small Shop Cycles & Service in Bronzeville on Wednesday.
The shop's owner, Chris Willard, says it's around this time -- when Chicago reaches 70 degrees -- that more people start to bring their bikes in for repairs.
"I think we probably have at least five times the business,” he said.
Marcus Gary says the weather was all the encouragement he and his wife needed to bring their bikes in for repairs.
"We literally pulled our bikes out of storage and were like, ‘Babe, we're gonna drop this bike off and we're gonna hit the lakefront, hit the scene and just have a good time this whole summer.’”
