JOLIET (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A person suffered minor injuries following a car crash at a McDonald's in Joliet Tuesday afternoon.
Joliet Police said crews responded around 4:15 p.m. to a McDonald’s on Jefferson Street to find that a car had crashed into the restaurant, causing "significant damage."
Reports indicate that a westbound Nissan Versa rear-ended a GMC-Acadia, causing the SUV to hit the building, according to police.
The woman driving the Nissan had experienced a possible medical emergency before the crash.
A man inside the restaurant suffered minor injuries.
The woman who crashed into the McDonald's was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
