CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Thieves got away with a number of luxury cars on the Northwest Side over the weekend.
Chicago Police say that before dawn Sunday, thieves made off with $1M dollars worth of high priced used cars from Luxury Auto Selection, located in the 4500 block of North Elston. At least nine cars were taken.
Police say the thieves broke the glass window of an overhead door and got inside the dealership and took what they could. Luxury Auto Selection lists among its online inventory, a $111,000 BMW convertible, a $75,000 Lincoln Navigator SUV and a $67,000 Porsche sports car. It’s not known if any of those cars were among those taken.
Detectives Sunday were checking the area for surveillance video that may help them figure out who the thieves are.
