A cat that had been missing for five years was found on Chicago's North Side and is now home with its owner.
The cat named "Binks" was found last week near the corner of Kedzie and Pratt.
Jeanette Garlow is the co-director of Lost Dogs Illinois, which also helps reunite other types of lost pets with their owners.
Garlow says a mother and daughter found Binks and searched for his owner, before taking the cat to a veterinarian.
While Binks had a microchip, the information about his owners was out-of-date.
Garlow says this shows why it's important for pet owners to microchip their animals AND update the information linked to it.
Despite the challenges, Garlow says her group was able to track down the cat's owner who now lives in Indianapolis. The owner drove to Chicago's during last week's dust storm to pick up Binks.
