The National Museum of Mexican Art is undergoing a major renovation that's expected to cost around $5 million by the time it's done in 2028.
To help with the project, the Bayless Family Foundation which was formed by Chicago-based celebrity Chef Rick Bayless and his wife, Deann, is donating $1 million to the museum.

The donation-- which is the single largest gift in the museum's history--will be used to renovate the museum's West Wing which will be renamed Foro de Artes Bayless.
The project includes moving the stage, upgrading seating, and modernizing the audio-visual systems.
