Positivity and pride took center stage at a Chicago tradition today.

Lots of love on display here in Boystown for the 55th annual Pride Parade. The theme this year, “Free to Be Proud.”
Streets jampacked with people, cheering on the floats, marching bands, politicians, including Governor Pritzker, even a caravan of motorcycles that came rumbling by, with many waving pride flags.
For Jaime, attending the parade with his friends and family is a special tradition.

“Don’t deny us who we are. We are still people, we are human beings who just want to make a difference in this world. Our difference is just a little bit more colorful than most.”
A massive turnout, Chicagoans young and old, who say they’re grateful for all the support on display, and for good weather as well.
