The annual festival is one of the largest of its kind in the world and provides free, behind-the-scenes access to architecturally, historically and culturally significant sites across 30 of Chicago's neighborhoods.
The Chicago Architecture Center (CAC) said each year it welcomes more than 35,000 visitors from across the region and around the U.S.
This year is the 16th edition of the event. The lineup features more than 200 sites, including 20 new ones, such as the Muddy Water MOJO Museum in Kenwood, the Sears Sunken Garden in North Lawndale and the TimeLine Theatre in Uptown.
