(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Starting Monday, voters in Chicago and suburban Cook County will have many more options when it comes to voting early in-person.

Early voting opened in Chicago on Oct. 3, but residents were only able to cast an in-person ballot at the Loop Supersite on Clark Street or the Chicago Board of Elections Office at 69. W. Washington St. On Monday, the city will open an early voting site in all 50 wards, and folks will be able to vote at any of the locations listed here — regardless of where they live in the city.

Suburban Cook County residents, meanwhile, have been able to vote early at five county courthouse locations and the Cook County Clerk's Office in the Loop since Oct. 8. That number of early voting sites will rise to 53 on Monday, and those looking to make their voice heard can find their nearest polling place with the interactive map embedded below.

On Election Day, Chicagoans will be able to vote at their local precinct or any of the early voting sites. Voters should use the city’s online tool to find out where they can cast a ballot on Election Day.

Residents of suburban Cook County are subject to different rules on Election Day than their Chicago counterparts. On Election Day, the former must vote at their assigned polling place, which can be found here.

As of Saturday night, the Chicago Board of Elections reports that just over 12,000 early-vote ballots have been cast. More than 50,000 vote-by-mail ballots have been received, too.

The deadline to register for a mail-in ballot is Oct. 31, and those mail-in ballots must be postmarked by election day. So far, more than 250,000 vote-by-mail requests have been made in Chicago.
