CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The Field Museum announced that it will offer free admission every Wednesday for Illinois residents.
Guests only need to show proof of residency to escape the weekday blues and visit SUE. The free day general admission tickets are available on-site and cannot be reserved.
Visitors can explore all the museum's free exhibits. From the halls of ancient Egypt to the stories of Native Truths, visitors can get a deep dive into history and learn how it impacts them today. Families can also immerse themselves in different engagement opportunities including science experiments, storytime sessions, live music and more.
Ticketed exhibitions including the Bloodsuckers: Legends to Leeches and First Kings of Europe cost $16 to visit. The museum offers a variety of special offers and discounts for visitors all year round. For more information, click here.
