
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A paramedic with the Chicago Fire Department was shot at while tending to a patient at Stroger Hospital Saturday night.
Chicago police said someone in an older green Buick shot at the emergency room at Stroger, grazing the bill of a paramedic’s baseball cap as he or she was working on a patient.
It happened at around 10:35 p.m., shattering glass in the hospital doors.
Police said about 10 minutes before, someone shot from a car at two men near Warren Boulevard and Western Avenue.
A 31-year-old man, who was taken to Stroger with gunshot wounds to the chest and arm, died there.
A 28-year-old man was shot in the heel of his right foot. He was listed in good condition.
No one is in custody.
