CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A Chicago man is behind bars in Washington after an attack on the Chinese embassy.

Authorities said Benjamin Gabriniski was stopped by Secret Service agents outside of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Washington late last month after he allegedly harassed a security guard, threw a rock at the building, and threatened to return with a fire bomb.

During that stop, Kaminski told officers he came all the way from Illinois to show his discontent with the Chinese government. This week he's accused of throwing a Molotov cocktail at the building.

What he tried, he was unable to light on fire. He was arrested blocks from the embassy.
