(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – Don’t worry. There are still plenty of outdoor events to enjoy across the Chicago area. WBBM Newsradio’s Rachel Pierson has the latest roundup.
--Smells of BBQ will fill the streets of Lincoln, Damen and Irving Park in the Northcenter neighborhood during Ribfest Chicago. Celebrating its 23rd year, the family-fun event offers unforgettable eats, live music and roughly 50,000 pounds of pork.
--The Chicago Bulls will connect with fans during the second annual Bulls Fest. The two-day event is designed to celebrate the organization through a 3v3 basketball tournament, player meet-and-greets and high-profile concerts all at the United Center campus.
--You'll find more than 100 artists selling paintings, drawings, sculptures, ceramics, and more at the Glenwood Avenue Arts Fest in Rogers Park. Now in its 22nd year, the fest includes free live music and art demonstrations.
--A trip to Poland is just a few miles away. Head to Golf Mill Park in Niles and experience three days of Polish music and food during Festival Polonaise. The event also includes a carnival and pierogi contest.
--And there’s fun for the whole family at Elburn Days. You’ll find carnival rides, a petting zoo, even mud volleyball and a tractor pull. Proceeds benefit the Elburn Lions Club.
