(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – North-Grand High School is one of several schools with the Chicago Public Schools system being recognized for its achievements in female representation in computer science.

North-Grand is being honored with the College Board's 2022 AP Computer Science Award, which recognizes schools where at least 50% of students taking the Advanced Placement computer science final exam are women.

Principal Emily Feltes said supporting female students interested in computer-science related fields is a priority. The school offers after-school programs and internships.
