(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – The Chicago Sky selected South Carolina’s Kamilla Cardoso with the No. 3 overall pick in the WNBA Draft, and then scooped up LSU's Angel Reese with the seventh.

Chicago made the selection Monday, two picks after the Indiana Fever, as expected, selected Iowa superstar Caitlin Clark with the No. 1 overall pick.

Cardoso, who is 6 feet, 7 inches tall, played center for the undefeated Gamecocks, which defeated Iowa for the NCAA women's basketball championship.

A little later Monday, the Sky selected Reese, the 6-foot, 3-inch forward for the Lady Tigers. She was a member of the 2023 NCAA women's basketball championship team.

"I think it's going to be great," Cardoso said. "She's a great player. I'm a great player. So, two great players together. Nobody's going to get no rebounds on us."
