It’s part of the annual Parade to the Polls event, helping hundreds of Chicago Public Schools students visit, register and vote at sites across the city.
Camille Williams is Programs Director at the nonprofit Chicago Votes.
“It’s so important for Chicago’s youth to identify that they do have a voice to vote and they should in every election, during early voting and during the general election, as well.”
Some students here even had some surprise guests on their bus ride over: Mayor Brandon Johnson and Cook County Clerk Monica Gordon.
