(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Several local vendors at the DNC are inviting delegates and volunteers to show their creative side at McCormick Place.

Owner of Nail Issuez, Ebonie Anderson, who is giving out free, Kamala Harris inspired manicures, said designs are inspired by the Chuck Taylor converse shoe that has become a Kamala Harris staple.

"We can put ‘KH’ for her name, as well as we have a nail that looks like a Chuck Taylor and we incorporate the pearls and her name."

For delegates and volunteers who aren’t interested in manicures, they can make bracelets instead.

"We're not doing the traditional friendship bracelets. We're making bracelets that stand out,” Owner Danielle Carol with Danaya Designs 4U said.

Carol said some popular bracelets say, "’I'm with her,’ Kamala, we have ‘Harris/Walz’ as well, ‘Vote.’"

Carol says the goal is to bring people together.

"I hope that they understand that it is OK to smile and have fun even through this trying time because it is intense."
