CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A popular wrestling photographer’s career is on the ropes after a weekend incident in Logan Square.

“It’s a very unfortunate situation to be in. I really wish I wasn’t in this situation,” said Nicholas Consalvo.

Consalvo has spent the last seven years photographing professional wrestling events around the Chicago area.

After saving up, he purchased what he calls the “Rolls Royce of camera equipment,” which he had in his car while visiting friends in Logan Square over the weekend.

“We came outside, the passenger rear window was smashed and my camera bag was gone,” Consalvo said.

Out $8,000 worth of gear, Consalvo took to social media to ask for help and received plenty of responses from wrestlers and fans he’s worked with over the years.

“Having their support has at least dug me out of the hole a little bit, not completely, but it means a lot,” Consalvo said.

You can see photos of Consalvo’s gear and work as well as how to help on his Instagram page.
