
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A mosque in the Loop was vandalized last night as worshippers came and went for prayers during Ramadan.
Chicago Police said a man kicked and eventually broke the glass front door of the Downtown Islamic center on State Street near Jackson.
It was about 8 p.m., as worshippers were in and out of the building for prayers during the holy month of Ramadan. Police said he had been making threats to people.
No one was hurt, and no one is in custody, as police investigate this potential hate crime.
