CHICAGO (WBBM Newsradio) -- Market Days — one of the North Side’s most popular summer events — is a maybe for August.
Market Days were cancelled last year. But the Northalsted Business Alliance hopes to host the event this year from Aug. 6-8, which would include a first-ever Friday night for the festival.
The president of the Business Alliance, Ramesh Ariyanayakam, is far from certain.
“You never know. We’ve changed direction and courses at least 30 or 40 times over the last year. I’m hopeful, and that’s all,” he told WBBM Newsradio.
Crowds at previous Market Days have been estimated at 100,000.
Last week, organizers of the Pride Parade said this fall was a possibility for the parade.
